About MTM Ministries

Who We Are

We are MTM Ministries, a dedicated team founded in 2021 by individuals with rich backgrounds in military combat service and ministerial duties. Inspired by the solace found in mountain retreats and guided by timeless biblical truths, we are a peer-led organization focused on PTS intervention and trauma recovery. Our work centers on building capacity and strengthening physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual endurance so people can face hardship with resilience and purpose.

Through structured programs and partnerships, we provide practical support for those serving on the front lines of care, leadership, and community impact. Our initiatives include early intervention, outdoor retreats, and peer mentorship designed to promote steady growth and long-term stability. Every program is led by peers who understand the demands of service and the realities of recovery.

Our mission is clear: support and rejuvenate those who dedicate their lives to helping others, ensuring they can continue their vital work with renewed energy and purpose.

Our Values

"Do The Most Good"

Inspired by Proverbs 3:27

When good can be done, we believe in doing it. We lift others through hope, encouragement, and support. Our goal is to create spaces where people can recover and grow. We meet people where they are and walk beside them. On the trail, around the fire, or in quiet moments of reflection, we give what we can, knowing that small acts of good can lead to lasting change.

Compassionate Care

Inspired by Luke 3:10-11

True compassion calls us to act. We see the needs around us and respond with open hands and open hearts. We share what we can, knowing that even small kindness can bring warmth and restoration.

Hospitable Hosts

Inspired by Romans 12:13

Hospitality is more than a gesture; it is a way of living. We create opportunities where everyone feels seen, valued, and welcomed. We offer not only shelter, food, or care but a true sense of belonging.

Supportive Community

Inspired by Galatians 6:2

No one is meant to walk alone. In both trials and triumphs, we carry each other’s burdens, offering encouragement, strength, and unwavering support.

Collaborative Connections

Inspired by Galatians 5:13

We are stronger together. With humility and purpose, we link arms, serve with love, and build connections that uplift and empower.

Our Mission

MTM Ministries exists to help service-oriented professionals, and their families, impacted by post-traumatic stress (PTS), trauma and burnout to overcome challenges with programs that foster growth, hope, resilience and long-term well-being.

Our Vision

We envision a future where every individual in a service-oriented profession has the tools and resources necessary to maintain their well-being, connect with their support systems and care for their soul.

THE HIDDEN COST OF SERVICE

The Problem

Emotional & Mental Exhaustion

Constant exposure to high-stress situations and suffering takes a heavy toll.

Burnout & Compassion Fatigue

Chronic stress and emotional depletion make it harder to care for others.

Identity Struggles

The demands of service can lead to a loss of personal or spiritual identity over time.

Communication Struggles

Many fear that expressing emotions or asking for help will be seen as weakness.

Body & Mind Conditioning Issues

Neglecting to care for oneself leads to sleep deprivation, health concerns, and emotional instability.

Isolation & Lack of Community

It often feels like no one outside their profession truly understands.

Our Purpose

We provide a complementary approach to care through non-pharmacological interventions and peer-to-peer support. By integrating outdoor experiences, community connection, and restorative therapies, we equip participants to expand their capacity to overcome obstacles.

Goals

  • Comprehensive programming through Christ honoring activities: focused on the 4-points of strength: Character, Communication, Conditioning & Community
  • Foster and build healthy relationships by encouraging work-life balance, stress management skills and decreasing barriers and burdens to vitality.
  • Improving community involvement
  • Addressing soul/Creator needs and concerns.
  • Develop leaders and empower participants to use the pain for a purpose by giving back in some capacity.

The burdens of service are heavy, but hope abounds.

restoring those who serve

Outdoor Adventures & Wilderness Experiences

Nature was created with purpose- designed for connection. Faith in Christ gives us strength, and time in His creation brings clarity. Studies show that just 20 minutes outdoors can lower stress and build resilience in both body and spirit.

Peer-to-Peer Support & Mentorship

No one should carry their burdens alone. Our programs foster genuine connection, where shared experiences create trust and offer support. Studies indicate that strong social networks reduce burnout and increase emotional well-being.

Family-Focused Programs

Service often takes a toll on family life. We help rebuild and strengthen these vital relationships through retreats, mentorship, and guided support, reducing isolation and reinforcing a foundation of love and stability.

Collaborative Partnerships

Healing comes in many forms. We integrate equine therapy, animal-assisted support, exercise programs, float therapy, and other evidence-based approaches to promote restoration, balance, and long-term well-being.
